Access to transitional housing

NEHS will provide a client with access to transitional housing via a referral from a NEHS HIR worker or a support agency that has current protocols with NEHS. Clients that have an outstanding debt to NEHS will not be prevented from re-entering the service. Previous tenants will be assessed according to clear eligibility criteria.

Property and Tenancy Management

The Property and Tenancy Management team establishes and manages Transitional Housing tenancies and works with nominating agencies to access alternative housing options.

Tenancy management encompasses signing leases, rent setting and collection, and legal action in response to breaches of tenancy agreements.
